Stampsmith Bling

Hi Smithies!
Karen here today with a  bit of Bling.  This card is made using the Stampsmith individual stamp "Bling" that is available in the Stampsmith Shop.  I Stamped the image with black dye ink on glossy white CS.

I added jewel tone papers  and a bright red ribbon.  There are more details on my blog, Dreaming and Creating  too.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Homage to Lucy

I'd like to pay homage to Lucy since next week she would have celebrated her 100th birthday. She was certainly one of a kind. Such a funny lady and is sadly missed by so many.

The photostamp of Lucy that I used, is from the Fame #1 stamp sheet by The Stampsmith. The sentiment, "Portrait of a Lady" is from the Say it With Flair Sayings stamp sheet, also by The Stampsmith.

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Down On The Farm

Last week I shared a collection of cards using stamps from the Isn't She Lovely plate. I wanted to show how versatile this stamp plate is by sharing two cards that use other stamps from this set. This plate not only has the glamorous 1940s women as shown last week, there is also an adorable child, a kissing couple and a Flapper.
The two stamps used here have a very wholesome appearance to them, I could see those young women living on a farm so teamed the stamps up with gingham ribbon and cardstock that has a pattern reminiscent of country chic fabric. The words Beauty and Joy are from the Say It With Flair plate, a stamp set that is indispensable in my opinion.

It Takes A Heck of a Lot of Effort to Look This Good

I'd like to share a selection of cards I made all using stamps from the Isn't She Lovely plate. As with all The Stampsmith plates, this is packed with images.
These images shine when embellishments are kept to a minimum, although I did have fun making ribbon flowers, one of which I perched at a jaunty angle on her head to represent a hat.
I selected the polka dot papers as they have an air of innocence to them but also look glamorous at the same time.
The words and sentiments from the Say It With Flair plate work so beautifully with the stamped women.
On the final card I punched a bow to embellish the sentiment.

Christmas in July

It's Christmas in July! For this project, I used a stamp from the Christmas Cards Sheet 1 from The Stampsmith. These are nice vintage looking stamps that would cover nearly your whole A2 style card. I chose to make my project into a little wall hanging, that measures 6" x 6." I did a bit of distressing and finished it off with some pewter embellishments.

This is the full stamp sheet

Happy crafting! :)
