Hope everyone is having a great weekend! This little angel (well, she's a sweet little girl and I added wings to her!), is from the Isn't She Lovely? sheet at The Stampsmith Online Store. The papers I used are Christmas, just not traditional colours. I used chalks to tint her.
A new challenge is underway over at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog. You have until January 8th. If you use at least one Stampsmith rubber stamp, you are eligible for the random draw for a sheet of rubber! You can't win if you don't play!

He Wished To Be Admired And Loved
Hi
For my post last week "Amidst The Flowers of Summer" I used an old favourite, Serena to create a hanging from Stampbord and lace. This week I decided to work with a stamp that until now I haven't used on a DT piece of art to create another hanging. The couple stamp is from Isn't She Lovely plate.
My favourite choice for ink is Sepia but to enhance the look of the rosy glow of love I gently sponged Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet onto the glossy card after stamping the couple.

Selecting the word L'amour from the Paris plate I stamped this all over the base. Although the word isn't legible it does create a lovely pattern on the base, pattern paper could easily be substituted.
Little hangings such as this always make a lovely alternative to a greetings card.

Down On The Farm
Last week I shared a collection of cards using stamps from the Isn't She Lovely plate. I wanted to show how versatile this stamp plate is by sharing two cards that use other stamps from this set.
This plate not only has the glamorous 1940s women as shown last week, there is also an adorable child, a kissing couple and a Flapper.

The two stamps used here have a very wholesome appearance to them, I could see those young women living on a farm so teamed the stamps up with gingham ribbon and cardstock that has a pattern reminiscent of country chic fabric.
The words Beauty and Joy are from the Say It With Flair plate, a stamp set that is indispensable in my opinion.

It Takes A Heck of a Lot of Effort to Look This Good
I'd like to share a selection of cards I made all using stamps from the Isn't She Lovely plate. As with all The Stampsmith plates, this is packed with images.
These images shine when embellishments are kept to a minimum, although I did have fun making ribbon flowers, one of which I perched at a jaunty angle on her head to represent a hat.
The words and sentiments from the Say It With Flair plate work so beautifully with the stamped women.
On the final card I punched a bow to embellish the sentiment.

I selected the polka dot papers as they have an air of innocence to them but also look glamorous at the same time.
