Women Of Strength

Hello Everyone
I would like to share this canvas I altered using three stamps from Cleopatra and Friends. The three stamps selected are Imogen, Cordelia and Portia. Portia in particular has been cropping up on a few pieces of art and I will have something else very soon to share where Portia takes the spotlight on her own.
I built up lots of layers on the canvas to achieve colour and texture. I wanted the appearance of broken plaster/stucco.
Cordelia is shown below.
Another stamp set utilised is Cartolina Postale. This is a really useful set to have, a stamp set that can be overlooked yet is excellent for backgrounds, etc.
There are more photographs displayed on my personal blog, Adorn.

Butterfly Kisses

I made this 12" x 12" wall art tonight got my little 'Mutchkin' who had an accident today at daycare.   Thought she could use some cheering up, so some 'butterfly kisses' from Mom for a speedy recovery were the doctor's orders.

For the main focal image, I used the adorable Butterfly Kiss photostamp by The Stampsmith. This stamp comes in a couple different sizes, I used the large size (2.75" x 4").  This stamp also comes in a small size (1.25" x 2") which is great for smaller projects, as well.

For now, this is is just mounted on a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, but sometimes, it's fun to frame your art work, too, or you can apply it to a canvas frame for a more artsy look.  Just have fun with it!

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

The Lazy Days of Summer

Good evening crafters, I hope that everyone is having a good week. Tomorrow is Friday, TGIF!!! I completed a DT project for The Stampsmith this evening. I created this card rather quickly, I guess I am inspired…lol. Here is a sneak peek of what I created for Estelle:

I created this card using Estelle's wonderful Marilyn image from her plate of rubber called, Marilyn Monroe #2 Rubber Stamp Sheet.  For details on how I created this project, drop over to my blog.  Drop over to Estelle's site to check out all of her fabulous stamped images.

Take Time to Smell the Roses

I have a summery creation to share with you tonight. One of my co-workers asked me to create a card for her for a friend, something happy, peaceful and summer-like. This is the card I came up with. Do you think it works? :)

I used Camelia for my main focal image. Isn't she lovely?  This photo stamp is sold as a single by The Stampsmith.  I distressed all the edges of the cardstock and patterned paper and then some fun buttons, beautiful lace and a pretty like butterfly die cut finish off the embellishing.

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Over the Moon

Hi Smithies,
Today's card is made using the single stamp "Over the Moon".  I stamped with black dye ink on glossy white CS.   I went with the circus feeling I get from this image and used a harlequin decorative paper.

Where She Keeps Her Secrets

Hello Everyone
One of my favourite sets at the moment is Cleopatra & Friends . The images are stunning to work with.
This is my second piece of artwork using Portia.
I was in need of making a gift for an art friend so I altered a box with Portia taking centre stage on the lid.
To decorate the sides I used one of the stamps from Carte Postale.
Further details on my Blog, Adorn.

Peace on their Wings

Hello Everyone
For the July challenge at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog we are asking you to create Christmas In July . There is a bonus for July, if you create with summer colours your name will be entered twice into the Prize Draw for $21 to spend at The Stampsmith store.
For my DT sample I created a card using a beautiful stamp from Christmas Card Sheet #1. The image was stamped onto pattern paper and the sentiment stamped again so I could create a raised greeting.

A beautiful band of lace was added along with pink ribbon with snowflake design and other embellishment in pastel colours.
Have fun with this challenge!

Smile, it's a happy day!

This sweet, little angel is called Butterfly Kisses from The Stampsmith.  Doesn't she just bring a smile to your face?  :)  I have the larger version of this stamp but this is the first time I've used the smaller version of her.  She's just too sweet!

I made the flower and added the sentiment, 'smile' to the inside.  The lace doily is a diecut and I added lots of chocolate pearls finish off the embellishing.

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)
