TSC34: Bags n' Tags Challenge

It's time for a new challenge over at The Stampsmith Challenge blog.   This month's theme is 'Bags n' Tags'.  A reminder that all projects must include at least one stamp by The Stampsmith, for a chance to win a gift certificate valued at $21 for the Stampsmith Store!

This is the matching card to go with the bag of spa goodies...there's a facecloth sewn into the inside with some of the bubbles punched out so that the facecloth peeks through.

Here's a close up of the bag front.

A close up of the gorgeous, 'Serena' by The Stampsmith.

The sentiment is from the 'Say it with Flair' stamp sheet by The Stampsmith.

Here's the entire plate, lots of great sentiments to choose from...

I hope you decide to play along with us in the fun!  I look forward to seeing all your creations and good luck in the draw!

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Amidst The Flower of Summer

Serena is such a favourite image and an image that most people associate with The Stampsmith, alongside Ophelia. I've used this stamp many times and I never get bored using it. This week, when planning my DT work I was looking for a surface other than glossy cardstock to stamp onto. Amongst my supplies I unearthed some Stampbord.
The image is clearly defined, even her wisps of hair and the smallest of flowers. A Stampbord scratch tool was also used and details are on the post at my Blog Adorn. Wanting to soften the appearance of the sharp edges of the Stampbord I added lace and a hanging was created with copper wire.
The next time you use your stamps from The Stampsmith, why not reach for an alternative surface to glossy cardstock, some interesting results may be achieved.

Springtime Beauty

Spring is the in the air and in my eyes, The Stampsmith's stamp that best captures springtime and the approaching summer days is Serena.
Pattern papers, a length of glitter ribbon sticker, a pressed flower from the garden last year and a generous length of organza ribbon make up this card along with "Beauty" from the Say It With Flair plate. Wishing you beautiful Springtime days. Lynne x

Enchanted

A simple card with Serena. Using emulsion (latex) paint I stamped onto a black cardbase, added Serena, highlighting the flowers with a watersoluble crayon in lime and finishing touch of a word tile and some organza ribbon.
(The organza ribbon has created a pattern as it reflected off the glossy cardstock)

Fleur

Serena must be one of the most recognisable images from The Stampsmith. There are two Serena's available, both equally beautiful.

For this hanging I wanted a dreamy look to echo the faraway look in Serena's eyes.
