Angel Christmas Ornament

I have a Christmas ornament to share with you today.  I used the small version of Butterfly Kiss by The Stampsmith.  I found these cute charms recently and I hand crimped additional extender rings to them and attached them to the ornate diecut.  I used three diecuts, one rotated green layer sandwiched between two cream layers.  I added some pearl embellies to go with the pearl charms and tied a matching green ribbon to the top for hanging.

Hello Everyone
Recently I shared glass ornaments where I used the word joy from the Christmas Greetings Plate. Well, as there is such an abundance of words and sentiments I continued to make more glass ornaments to send as Christmas gifts to friends. This time I used the sentiment Joyeux Noel

A Time For Giving

Hello
As I am in the middle of Christmas preparations including gift making I have also found myself finding ways of presenting those gifts.
Using the Christmas Greetings stamp plate I selected a sentiment to stamp directly onto this calico bag.

The bag was then dressed up with lace, pearl beads and a shabby bow.
What is tucked inside? I will share with you in another post the handmade gift that is inside which is now on its way to an art friend.
You do still have time to enter the November Challenge, White on White.  We welcome all manner of art but please include at least one Stampsmith stamp on your entry. All rules and prize details available at TSC, see sidebar for link.

Teal Christmas Wishes

I'm sharing a Christmas card with you today using the beautiful Holly Christmas photostamp by The Stampsmith.  I opted to use teal, a non-traditional Christmas colour, even using it on my poinsettias, just for fun.

I sponged on black soot distress ink to highlight the embossed pieces.  I think it adds elegance to the project and I finished off the poinsettias with a little pearl embellie for the flower centers.

A Very Stylish Christmas

Here we are, Christmas Eve and I am sharing the first of two posts today.
Isn't this Flapper( from Flapper # 1 ) so stylish.
She was stamped in the usual manner (Archival onto glossy cardstock) but colour then added with watercolour paints.
Stylish details of a fabulous fabric flower, large pearl embellishment and extravagant bow.
Hope you are having a lovely start to Christmas Eve.

Hear The Angels Sing

I can hardly believe it is the Eve of Christmas Eve and I am rapidly running out of time to share Christmas cards with you.
A wee post to share a card made with the ever beautiful two angels from Thank Heaven for Little Girls #2. A card such as this is a quick make as the stamping is minimal. Embellish with ribbon, a beaded dangle and pearl to elevate the card into something more special.
Are you all frantically running around trying to achieve the last of your preparations or is everything in hand, 100% organised?!

The City Sparkles At Christmas

The Stampsmith Challenge for December is well underway. We are asking for Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine on your artwork.
Once again I am using the Christmas Card Sheet #1 for my second (and third) DT sample. I have to say that if you are looking for stamps that are that little bit different then you cannot go wrong with this set.
I made this card for my sister and BIL. My sister isn't a vintage/nostalgic type so this Eiffel Tower stamp was perfect. For more details on this card you will find them at my Blog, http://lynnesbowsandbelles.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/the-city-sparkles-at-christmas/
Using the same stamp I created an outsize tag.
By threading ivory organza through the holes at the top of the tag this can be displayed hanging from a Christmas tree, a mantle or even from a gift bag.
If you are entering artwork please remember to include at least one Stampsmith stamp. All other details are available at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog where you can also view the DT samples and entries to date.

She's A Little Angel

Like the majority of stampers I make Christmas cards. Looking to make some vintage inspired cards I turned to The Stampsmith who sell quite a few Christmas stamps. For this card I used Little Angel, this is the large version. I only tinted her dress and the bow in her hair and for her wings I used Sakura Stardust pen and edged the image with DekoIce Crystal, both of which creates subtle sparkle. Although I used her for a Christmas card, this Angel could be used at any time of the year.
