Hello Everyone
It has been quite some time since I last posted so it is lovely to be here today and to be able to share one of the cards that I was thrilled to see published in Stampington & co's Take Ten publication (Spring edition).
The card features one of the stamps from the beautiful Olivia and Friends plate.
The fragment beneath the main image is one of the stamps from the Cartolina Postale set stamped onto prepared watercolour paper.
Another time I will share some more of the cards featured alongside this one.
Thank you for visiting.

The Blush Of Her Cheeks
Hello Everyone
I would like to share a card I made some months ago when I received the beautiful Olivia and Friends stamp plate.
For this card I had fun staining a shipping tag and also papers to co-ordinate with the colour of the tag and as I was having so much fun I also stained some lace.
You might well recognise that I used one of the Cartolina Postale stamps for the background. This is an ever useful plate especially if you like to create your own backgrounds.
Please remember that TSC is well underway for this month where we are asking you to Re-use/Re-cycle, why not come and join us and if you would be interested in becoming a Guest Artist for TSC then you can read all about it over at TSC blog.
Thank You for visiting.

Peace on their Wings
Hello Everyone
For the July challenge at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog we are asking you to create Christmas In July . There is a bonus for July, if you create with summer colours your name will be entered twice into the Prize Draw for $21 to spend at The Stampsmith store.
For my DT sample I created a card using a beautiful stamp from Christmas Card Sheet #1. The image was stamped onto pattern paper and the sentiment stamped again so I could create a raised greeting.
A beautiful band of lace was added along with pink ribbon with snowflake design and other embellishment in pastel colours.
Have fun with this challenge!

Hello
I would like to share another card that I was thrilled to see in the pages of Stampington & co's Catch-Up Issue.
This card is a quick make with a cute stamp from Thank Heaven For Little Girls #2 taking centre stage. I also made use of a word from the Say It With Flair plate, such a useful plate to own.

The Sweetest Face
For March, The Stampsmith Challenge has set the challenge of Flip 'n' Fold.
I selected this sweet stamp from Thank Heaven For Little Girls #2, a really delightful plate of stamps that suits many occasions, even Christmas. I also used the double postal cancellation marks from the Paris plate and inside (see my Blog) a beautiful quote.

We look forward to seeing your Flip 'n' Fold artwork. As always there is a Prize Draw so it is well worth entering your artwork. Please do remember to include at least one Stampsmith stamp.

Flowers and Wishes
Hi
I would like to share my final DT piece for the month of February, a card which has the beautiful Serena #2 as the focal.
As I mentioned on my personal Blog, Adorn both Serena and Serena #2 are suitable for cards where you are not looking for a vintage style. Although perfect for vintage artwork they can also have a contemporary air to them and as a friend said on my Blog, a Bohemian appearance.
I would like to share my final DT piece for the month of February, a card which has the beautiful Serena #2 as the focal.

To create a dreamy look I kept to a soft colour palette and included a dried hydrangea blossom with its colour faded and diffused the Wish ticket.
The team hope that you will join us tomorrow over at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog when a new theme will be announced for March and of course there will also be the winner's name for February and the Top 3 artwork on show.

A Wistful Look She Gives You (TSC Make A Tag)
We are now into the second week of the Make A Tag challenge at The Stampsmith Challenge. Click the link for details on this challenge and also to view the amazing artwork from my DT sisters.
This is the first time I've used the Won't You Be My Honey plate which is filled with gorgeous images, in fact some of the images would be perfect for Valentine artwork.
Why not have some fun with this challenge and remember, there is a random prize up for grabs so good and luck and we look forward to seeing your Make A Tag artwork.
For my first DT sample I created the tag and then added it to a card.

Below is the tag added to the card. If you would like more details then you can visit my Blog, Adorn.

She Ponders The Passing Of Time

Beautiful Ophelia (medium size version) is the focal of this card. She is one of The Stampsmith's most recognisable stamps and I don't know of anyone who doesn't like this image. Ophelia is a stamp I reach for time and time again and have to say that so far, I've not come across a stamping surface which is a challenge for it.
Some more information on this card is available at my Blog, Adorn.
I've had another wonderful year as part of The Stampsmith DT where it is privilege to work with stamps that I truly adore and also to be part of such an amazingly talented DT.
With this being my final post for 2011 I would like to wish you all the very best for the coming New Year, may it be kind to you.
Warmest Wishes

A Very Stylish Christmas

Isn't this Flapper( from Flapper # 1 ) so stylish.
She was stamped in the usual manner (Archival onto glossy cardstock) but colour then added with watercolour paints.
Stylish details of a fabulous fabric flower, large pearl embellishment and extravagant bow.
Hope you are having a lovely start to Christmas Eve.

The City Sparkles At Christmas
The Stampsmith Challenge for December is well underway. We are asking for Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine on your artwork.
Once again I am using the Christmas Card Sheet #1 for my second (and third) DT sample. I have to say that if you are looking for stamps that are that little bit different then you cannot go wrong with this set.
I made this card for my sister and BIL. My sister isn't a vintage/nostalgic type so this Eiffel Tower stamp was perfect.
For more details on this card you will find them at my Blog, http://lynnesbowsandbelles.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/the-city-sparkles-at-christmas/
Using the same stamp I created an outsize tag.
By threading ivory organza through the holes at the top of the tag this can be displayed hanging from a Christmas tree, a mantle or even from a gift bag.
If you are entering artwork please remember to include at least one Stampsmith stamp. All other details are available at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog where you can also view the DT samples and entries to date.

She Was All Lady
As we are fast approaching the half way mark for the November Challenge theme (link on sidebar) of Ribbons and Lace I thought I would share with you another project, this time a card.
This stunning lady is from Portrait of a Lady plate. This is a generous size stamp (as are the majority of The Stampsmith stamps) and as I wanted to add lots to this card I choose a larger card base, allowing me plenty of space for the addition of lace, trims and a fabric flower with pearls hanging beneath it.

A stamp I always have to hand is the linked postal cancellations from the Paris plate, here used to create an embellishment with a pearl pin and shabby seam binding tied into a bow.
More details are on my Blog, Adorn.
We would love to see your Ribbon and Lace artwork. As always there is a random Prize Draw so it is worth your while entering this challenge. For the month of November only there is a Blog Hop, again all details are on the challenge blog.
Good Luck.

Her Constant Companion
Hi
The beautiful focal image on this card is from the It's A Dog's Life plate. You do not have to be a dog lover to enjoy the beauty of this plate but if you happen to be like me someone who has always loved dogs then you will adore this sheet of images.
One of the stamps from the Wizard of Oz plate was so perfect for this image of the woman with her faithful companion.

Music To Her Ears

It is an elegant and what I would class as a mature stamp so I married it up with this dramatic paper from Paris Nights paper pad adding touches of sheet music.
Detail photographs are displayed over at my Blog, Adorn.
A little reminder that we would like to see your Hallowe'en artwork for the latest TSC. Just click the link on the sidebar for The Stampsmith Challenge and you will find all the information you require to enter your art.

The Scholar - Stampsmith Celebration

The Stampsmith competition is underway and it would be wonderful to have as many of you as possible participate in the fun to help Estelle celebrate the launch of the new The Stampsmith on-line store.
Normally I would list the stamps I used in my artwork but no, there will be no clues and no help from me! All I will reveal is that I used three different stamps on my card. More details of this card are on my Blog, Adorn.
A little reminder that from Saturday 8th October until Sunday evening Estelle is offering a 10% discount. All you need do is use the discount code TENOFF at checkout.
Have fun and Good Luck!

The Playful Nature of Her Gaze
Hi
For this week's DT artwork I am using a stamp from Flappers #3. As I mentioned on my Blog, Adorn, I can never stay away from The Stampsmith's Flappers for too long. They are such gorgeous stamps.
Reaching for another favourite set, Say It With Flair plate I selected "Beauty" which I stamped repeatedly onto a piece of pattern paper.
For this week's DT artwork I am using a stamp from Flappers #3. As I mentioned on my Blog, Adorn, I can never stay away from The Stampsmith's Flappers for too long. They are such gorgeous stamps.

By chance I had dyed some fabric flowers for a project some months ago, they were the perfect match for the papers and lace I used. Although she isn't wearing one, I wanted a cluster of flowers to resemble flowers such as those seen on a wrist corsage.
A little reminder that TSC Faux Technique is underway. You have until 14th of September to create art for this challenge, with a new challenge theme, Top 3 entries and the random winner's name for the $10 voucher for The Stampsmith store all being announced on 15th of September.
