Think of Me, Always

Hello
The Stampsmith Challenge is well underway with May's theme of a Sketch Challenge.  Click the link to take you to TSC where you can see the sketch that we ask you be inspired by and also all the DT samples.
I selected a stamp from the beautiful Think of Me plate.
Altering stretched canvases is a favourite base of mine to work on. I decided to turn the sketch on its side as a landscape layout was more suited to what I had in mind.
The stamped image was gently painted before layering onto various pieces of lace to tie in with the colours around her.
This photograph shows Think of Me which is also from the stamp late, here I stamped it onto a torn piece of vintage napkin.
Other details are on my Blog, Adorn.
We look forward to seeing your Sketch Challenge entries. It is certainly worthwhile entering as a random prize draw takes place at the end of the month with the winner selecting $21 worth of stamps of their choice from The Stampsmith on-line store.
Good Luck.

"I Do"

Traditionally, Springtime was a time for weddings. As Spring will soon be upon us I set to work making an altered canvas with one of the beautiful Bridal stamps from Wedding Bells, a plate full of images and quotes. I never tire of altering canvases, especially flipping them over to create an inexpensive shadowbox. This image fitted perfectly inside showing a border of the pattern paper I used (coincidentally called "Wedding"). Silicone glue was used to create dimension for the stamped image.
Would this not make a lovely alternative to a Wedding card for a very special couple or even for an anniversary.
A bit more detail of this altered canvas is on my Blog, Adorn.

The Faces of Angels

My mind is obviously preoccupied with Christmas as my last post used the single um "Holly" and on this post it is another festive image, this time the angels stamp from Thank Heaven For Little Girls #2 .
Details on how I made this altered canvas are available at my Blog, Adorn. I am also giving this canvas away in my first Giveaway, again, details on my Blog.

Remember there is still time to join in the fun at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog, there is a prize to be won! The deadline is 15th of October and the theme is "Dressing Up". Click the badge on the sidebar to take you to the challenge Blog and for more details.
