Rosemary Reid

Just a quick note of introduction. My name is Rosemary Reid and I am so pleased to be part of the new Stampsmith design team. I have been stamping for about 8 years ( where did the time go? lol). I started out heat embossing words on dry embossed cards and then jumped right into photostamps, after seeing a lovely card done using the Stampsmith image Maude. I also dabble in wire jewellery, metal clay and polymer clay but mostly I am a collector of craft supplies. Here are a couple of spring cards made with Stampsmith flapper images. For some reason I love the lavender/purples and pink/greens for spring cards.

I could really use a tutorial on how to color the photostamps so gorgeously as you do! I have some photo tinting markers, but they leave streaks unless it is just a small area, and my chalks don't seem to stick to the glossy paper very well. Would love product recommendations and a video to watch you color, if possible!

Thanks so much, ladies.

Christy, I stamp with Memories black on glossy cardstock, and use regular water based markers, mixed and blended on a plastic lid and applied with a small paintbrush. I use the Decorating Chalks(that's what it is called on the front of the package )applied with makeup applicators. I bought some All Night media ones and found them too hard to work with, for this type of application.
I hope this helps.

Hi Rosemary! These cards are so feminine and pretty. I especially love the light blue card...dreamy! I see you added pink pearls! Oh my Gosh your layered cardstock pieces are perfect!!! Love them both.
