Halloween Masquerade

I used the gorgeous masquerade stamp from the Halloween stamp set from The Stampsmith.

The beautiful flowers around the image are flowers from a wedding that I attended this past summer that I dried.  They used them in the bride's bouquet, but these were ones that the little flower girl threw to the ground as she walked up the aisle.  I thought they were absolutely stunning so I pocketed a few!  lol  :)

I used some scraps for the woven background to create the basket weave pattern.  Not traditional Halloween colours, but hey, who says I have to be traditional?

Just a note that there's still a couple of days left to enter the 'With Gratitude' card challenge over at The Stampsmith Challenge.  You have a chance at winning an entire sheet of stamps from The Stampsmith just for entering!   I hope you decide to play along in the fun!

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

The card I am sharing today has Serena #1 as the focal, a stamp I never tire of using.

Fall Quilt Show Sign

Hi Smithies,
The Fall air is crisp and clean here in Michigan.  The Fall nip in the air has inspired me to create a Fall themed card.  My project is made with Country Landscapes Full sheet.  The images of this set got me thinking about a Fall quilt show in the country.

Check out the full post on my blog, Dreaming and Creating for more info.  Hope you are having a great day.

The Author of Her Life

Hello Everyone
Today I would like to share a DT sample where I made use of a beautiful stamp from the Belinda and Friends plate.
I stamped the image directly onto some script paper which gives a slightly more muted appearance to the image compared to if it were stamped onto glossy cardstock.

An old book cover was used as the base of this hanging layering up vintage book text, dyed lace and trims and anything else that was to hand.
We are now past the half-way mark for the October Stampsmith Challenge With Gratitude. We welcome your entries to this challenge whether you make a card, tag or altered art, anything goes but please remember to include at least one Stampsmith stamp on your entry.

Halloween Kitty

I have a bit of Halloween fun to share with you tonight.  I used the kitty perched on a tree branch from the Halloween plate by The Stampsmith.   I'll have a few more Halloween cards to share with you throughout the month, so stay tuned.   :)

Here's a close up of the spooky kitty image and my spider web made out of hemp twine that I pulled all part to make it look fibrous.

I also made the spider using my Martha Stewart Double Loops punch.   I punched it out once to make the body and four legs, then, I punched it out two more times and cut off a leg from each side and glued them to the back to create my little spider.   Some tiny green gems for eyes and he was complete.  You can check out my blog for the more info.

Hi Smithies,
All of us Smithies have been having a great time over on the Yahoo group participating in some swaps.  The most recent is a card swap.  My card went to fellow Design Team Mate Julie.  I am pretty sure she has received her card by now.  If not, Julie, look away now!!!  I used one of the four images that come on the Belinda and Friends Full Sheet.  I stamped the image with archival ink on glossy white CS.  I used some Ranger Distress Crackle Paint on some of the elements.

I would like to share my Family Tea party card with you today.  The stamp is called "Family Tea" from The Stampsmith.  I stamped the image on glossy white CS with black dye ink.    I mounted the layered image on a pretty piece of DP.

Hi Smithies!

Live Life to the Fullest

Here's a close up of the photostamp of the cyclist trailing up the mountain.

Here's the close up of the sentiment, 'Live.'  I added the extra part of the sentiment, 'life to the fullest.'

Turning The Pages

Hello Everyone
TSC for September is underway with our theme of Bags 'n' Tags. For this particular post I will share the tag I made for my DT sample.
I decided to ink up Juliet from Olivia and Friends plate. Alongside Juliet I also used a stamp from Cartolina Postale. This is a set I overlooked for too long as now it is amongst my Stampsmith stamps I find it to be indispensable.
As always with TSC your entry must contain at least one Stampsmith stamp. At the end of September a random winner will be selected to win $21 worth of stamps of your choice at The Stampsmith on-line store.
Have fun!
